Waikato Winter Strokeplay
The Waikato Winter Strokeplay was played over the weekend, which saw some tremendous golf on display here at the Narrows. The Men's division was taken out by James Tauariki, who posted a tournament low of 64 for his Sunday morning round. Tauariki defeated a gallant Tyler Wood in a second playoff hole, denying Wood his WWS title defense. In third place we saw a valiant effort from local James Fellows-Ford, who led the field at –8 going into Sunday.
In the Womans division, Eunseo Choi was victorious by 3 shots over challenger Ing Iadpluem. Posting the three best gross scores in 70, 70 and 71 respectively, Choi proved too good for her opponents.
